Guitar Tuner Ultra ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we do and do not collect when you use our website and online tuner at aiguitartuneronline.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
Microphone & audio
The tuner needs your microphone to hear your instrument. All pitch detection runslocally in your browser using the Web Audio API. We do not record, store, transmit, or have access to your audio. Nothing from your microphone ever leaves your device or reaches our servers. Microphone permission is requested and controlled by your browser, and you can revoke it at any time in your browser settings.
Information stored on your device
To remember your preferences, we store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage — for example your light/dark theme choice and any custom tunings you create. This data stays on your device, is not sent to us, and can be cleared by clearing your browser data.
Information you send us
If you use our contact form or email us, you voluntarily provide your name, email address, and message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry. Contact-form submissions are delivered to us through FormSubmit, a third-party form-processing service (see below). We do not use this information for marketing and do not sell it.
Third-party services
- FormSubmit processes and forwards contact-form messages to our email. Data you submit is handled under FormSubmit's privacy policy (formsubmit.co).
- Google Fonts serves the fonts used on this site. When fonts load, your browser contacts Google's servers, which may receive your IP address as part of that request.
Cookies & analytics
We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising, and we do not run analytics that profile you. The only browser storage we use is the functional local storage described above. If this ever changes, we will update this policy first.
Children's privacy
The Service is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect almost no personal data, there is nothing to request or delete beyond the messages you choose to send us.
Your rights
You control the data on your device (clear it any time) and the information you send us (email us to have your correspondence deleted). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over personal data under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
